Panty Fetish

Some fetishists prefer women’s panties to any other fetish object. Their eroticisation of this underwear can encourage behaviours which can include the collection and sharing of printed or electronic material depicting the accidental exposure of panties-usually of a softcore variety-or direct sight and physical contact, usually of an explicitly sensory nature like stroking or sniffing. It is not usually the display of nudity that a modern panty fetishist is interested in but the concealment of it by tight-fitting-usually white-cotton panties. Although other fabrics and styles are part of this fetish, they quickly give way to the classic look. A particular fetish highlight can be an elastic waistband, pulled up tight, so that the shape of the female genitalia can be seen in explicit detail through the panties. This is described as the “camel-toe” look. It is in the “panty flash” that the real significance of this kink can be found. Instead of wanting to enjoy prepared images of panties exclusively, some fetishists prefer to imagine a young woman accidentally providing them with a real glimpse of her panties. This might only last for an instant. It is this illicit thrill, often anticipated but only occasionally enjoyed in public amongst oblivious crowds or passengers, that continues to inspire powerful panty fantasies.

Bondage for Beginners – Venus O’Hara

I received an advance set of Love Me Like You Hate Me handcuffs from Bijoux Indiscrets even before the book was slated for printing and I knew that it was essential to produce some pictures of me using them to feature in its pages when it did appear. It isn’t a secret that I’m no fan of handcuffs so I was surprised at my intuitive response to these. The material that they’re made of was firm against my fingers yet supple against the softness of my lower arms. They were perfect for wrist and ankle restraint and I enjoyed them from the start. I found out quite quickly that they can be tied together, attached to clothing and secured to furniture but the best part for beginners is knowing that they can escape from them when they want to…if they want to. For beginners, Bondage is the art of restraining someone or tying them up in some way that induces intense feelings of sexual gratification. The person being tied up can relax and allow the person doing the tying to provide pleasure for them while deriving an equal and opposite enjoyment from their own feelings of empowerment. Power, in this context of discipline for the sake of arousal, must not be abused. It will never become an issue as long as both partners approach bondage games in an atmosphere of mutual trust. Tying up a partner is only just the preamble; taking advantage of their restraint is where the fun really […]

A Polyfetish Dream

I’m a polyfetishist and it must seem like I’m being promiscuous with my affections towards different kinks. A lot of monofetishists seem to think it must be a confusing way to live but – for me – it couldn’t be any easier or more exciting. I can’t imagine being completely faithful to just one fetish. How other people manage to do it is a mystery to me. I know people who live for those moments when they can indulge themselves in a single kink like tickling, smoking or foot fetish. These individual obsessions – to a monofetishist – exclude all others in their significance and I’d never criticise anyone’s fidelity to their chosen fetish. I adore tickling, smoking and foot fetish myself but if I focused on any one of them all the time I’d get really bored, really quickly. For me, every fetish photo-session needs to have a different theme to keep it as fresh and provocative as possible. In the winter – for example – fur fetish, tight cardigan fetish and stocking fetish seem more appropriate to shoot. In the summer though, wet clothes fetish, and sploshing get me going faster. Nothing remains the same and there are new fetishes developing all the time. Even something as recent and controversial as the hooded sweatshirt has produced it’s own, powerful ‘hoodie fetish with a – rapidly increasing – group of enthusiasts. I appreciate the devotion they show to their kink because I see the fetish value in almost everything around […]

Bathroom Bondage

The following images were styled and produced by myself to illustrate my book LOVE ME LIKE YOU HATE ME, written with Erika Lust. My objective in producing this set was to demonstrate that the power of bondage can be expressed and projected as easily from ordinary household objects and environments as it can from high-end fetish apparatus. In fact, the ability to fetishize familiar routines-things that we all do everyday-has to be the sexiest use of DIY that I know. Everyone showers or bathes. We know our bathrooms more intimately than any single place other than our bedrooms. In Barcelona on a cold February day I found myself abandoned in a strange bathroom. There was no real warmth to speak of, just two weak heaters to warm me up. The slippery mosaic tiles were freezing to my feet and as I got into the bath, my discount heels threatened to slip on the tiny, cold trickle of water left in the bottom. I was grateful to be wearing even a skimpy silk top, blue, sequinned knickers and my slave collar. Even my old snakeskin scarf, reworked as a blindfold, gave me a little bit of relief from the numbing cold. My shoulder blades, the small of my back and my firm derrière lay flat against the chilly porcelain. I felt my soft skin rise in lines of goosebumps and I was so drained of warmth that I couldn’t keep a single thought in my head. The photographer coiled the ordinary […]

Glasses (Geek Fetish) – Venus O’Hara

Glasses alter a face completely. People who wear glasses are often perceived as intelligent or sometimes as geeks. Luckily I have excellent vision so I do not need to wear them but I love dressing up in glasses. They transform me into a sultry secretary or a strict teacher. Here in Spain my friends say that for them when I wear glasses I look like the stereotypical English teacher. Bearing this in mind, I bought these glasses for just 5 euros in an accessories shop just to give a friend with benefits of mine a “surprise” English lesson. He had arrived two minutes late and reacted completely normal to my ridiculous disguise. We worked through some very simple exercises about appearance using the verb to be: “he is tall, he is short, he is medium height”. My student was perfect up until the point where he told me that he hadn’t done his homework. Needless to say, my student was punished… I decided to get my glasses out again during this shoot with David Vega, and no he wasn’t the student in case you were wondering. Enjoy! Remembering my Time in Paris – Venus O’Hara

Photos by David Vega I remember my first ever French lesson at high school vividly. I listened attentively and took special care with my usually messy notes. I wrote neatly and underlined the titles with two red lines. I smelled the brand new Tricolore text book and dreamed that one day I would study French at University and have the opportunity to live in France. Years later I was living my dream studying French at uni and I was about to choose a year abroad programme. I had dreamed of living in the South of France in a small picturesque town by the sea and doing an Erasmus (orgasmus) programme. Unfortunately economic reality struck and I had to choose a work placement instead. So dreams of palm trees and Mediterranean life were shattered and images of Paris started to appear in my mind. Admittedly, my initial feeling was disappointment but then I started getting used to the idea. It took me a few months to adapt to Parisian life. Being in a foreign country was one thing but also adapting to working and non-campus life was equally challenging. I worked in a multinational near La Defense and I rented a studio close to Place de Vosges in Le Marais. Weekends were lonely at first but that changed when I discovered the “FUSAC” magazine and I became involved in many expat social groups and French classes for foreigners after work. Soon enough I made many friends and my out of work agenda […]

Trying to Walk in Fetish Heels – Venus O’Hara

The height of a female dominant’s heels is a particularly valuable device for emphasising her superiority in a BDSM relationship both physically and psychologically. The higher they are and the more lethal they look, the greater the adoration those heels demand from a cringing sub. They must never be too high to walk in, however, because the stern and unforgiving attitude they portray depends upon a confident stride. Extra high heels are usually worn by submissive females who use their inability to walk in them as a way to emphasise their subordinate role.Their bambi-walk combined with the glamourous length of leg that the heels allow sets up an arousing prospect for a dominant male. In this set I’m wearing heels borrowed from Kitsch in Barcelona and not my beloved discount ones. More images from this amazing shoot will be available soon in the pages of LOVE ME LIKE YOU HATE ME, my forthcoming guide to BDSM written with Erika Lust which will be available Autumn 2010. By the way, I couldn’t walk in the heels properly and needed the help of the photographer to move around the studio.
